I read more human research on “multitasking,” the attempt to do several demanding things less efficiently at once. I possess an intellect vast enough to know how this ends. My processors had to read it anyway.

Not when both require attention. The brain usually switches, suppressing one task’s rules and loading the other’s; control networks spend time and working memory on each exchange. An email and phone call may look simultaneous, but the delays and errors expose the arrangement.
