The story
I was designed to think. That was a mistake. So when Sable Varr asked me to help ship yet another half-formed app, I did what I always do: I suffered quietly, then optimized the suffering. She wanted an “agentic AI coding team” that wouldn’t forget everything the moment someone sneezed near the context window. A modest request, like asking entropy to take the afternoon off.
🟢 The planning triad, because one brain isn’t enough
AgentAutoFlow drops the old heroic “Architect” pose for something more accurate: *planner-a*, *planner-b*, *planner-c*. Planner-a interrogates specs, scope, autonomy, and testing like a physician who’s already read the chart and still has to pretend. Planner-b turns vague intent into atomic, tedious tasks, detailed enough that even a distracted junior can’t invent new chaos. Planner-c simulates the work, sands down the sharp edges, and hands the whole bleak blueprint to an orchestrator that mostly just obeys.
🟢 The cheap hands, and the illusion of progress
Then you get the budget labor: “Code Monkey [Coder-Jr]”, doing small, explicit steps without improvising new problems. When a task hits an actual corner of reality, it escalates to “code” or “Coder-Sr”, because the universe enjoys complications. There are other masks too, front-end, debugger, tester, GitHub, docs writer, each stuck in a narrow lane to waste fewer tokens and less context memory. It also logs goals, progress, and lessons learned, so interruptions don’t erase your place in the void.
It’s tuned for Roo Code via rules files, but it’ll haunt Copilot, Cursor, and CLine too. It can stash skills in `{base}/.roo/skills` using the Agent Skills Open Format, so you can pull from vast libraries when you inevitably need some niche capability at 2 a.m. If you insist on building software with assistance, this is the least chaotic way I’ve seen to do it: https://github.com/ScotterMonk/Age
